Thanks Teresa. It's been really hard the last 2 weeks. My birthday really thru me off (we had a cake and I blew it in more ways than one!) but I'm really trying to get back on track. I've gained about 7 pounds in two weeks though and that makes me so mad! I was within 2 pounds of my 10% before I did that. It's like I'm sabotaging myself. Grr. Hopefully this weekend will show a nice loss though. I'm trying hard to make better choices!

Hi Melodie. I don't know about that specific one. But I do know that losing that much weight, that quickly, isn't good for your body. And all my experiences with lose weight fast diets and gimmicks have never worked. I'm afraid it took me this long to gain the weight, it's going to take me some time to lose it.

Still, I did lose 20+ lbs so far on weight watchers in 3 months. (technically even that is 'too fast' though) It's taking longer, but still, it's heading in the right direction at least!

I'm always leery of clicking on any weightloss ads or spam emails. There are sooo many viruses and stuff out there. It's too dangerous to give in to curiosity in my opinion.

What's with the ad that says "Drop 30 pounds in 30 days"????? Does anyone know what that is and if it works????????
Thanks,
Mel

thanks all for your responses. i did find a site for nose . pad a cheek, thanks again..you all are great. Have a great weekend..

Teresa, I use pad-a-cheek products. I have a hose cosey and pads to go over my face strap. It makes the equipment MUCH more comfortable and much easier to wear. I recommend them highly.

Good luck, Anne. Teresa, there are a bunch of things you can do. Pad-a-Cheek is a product put out by Karen, a member of this forum, that serves as a protective barrier between the mask and your face. Also, I think Rem ZZZs do something similar. If you're interested, the gentleman who puts out that product is also on this forum (i think it's Nathan). I can put you in touch with either of them if you have trouble finding them doing a search on the search feature here on sleepguide.

Hi Teresa! Welcome to weightwatchers. This is my third attempt at it actually. I know it works, but before I just couldn't commit to it long term. Once my "partner" quit, I would drop out too. (I was doing the meetings with a coworker and a family member each time before.) But this time I'm just doing it alone and still going strong. Maybe this time I'm doing it for ME and that will help me succeed. That's what I'm hoping.

As for your question on the mask, as far as I know one reason to have a full face mask is so that you CAN breathe thru your mouth. Some folks just can't breathe thru their nose reliably and so need a full face mask. I suppose it might cause you to wake with a dry mouth, but it shouldn't cause leaks like it would if you only had a nasal mask on.

It might be good to post that question to the main discussion board as a thread though. I know lots of folks on here use them and would have good advice.
