Get some fleece or other soft fabric and make some strap covers. If you need an idea of what they look like visit www.padacheeks.com.

That will help alot with the strap marks.

I'm still working at getting used to the c-pap. Things are getting better. I probably should have been on the machine for several years now. My sleep quality has been bad for a long time. I have fibromyalgia, which affects sleep also.

Hi Linda,

Did you get the problem with rainout solved? I was wondering how you are doing.

Anything else I can help you with?

Linda,

Can you say more about what you mean by "got used to it"?
I don't mind using the cpap but the sleep I get is so bad that the next day is terrible much worse than a typical day. During your first week did your quality of life go down or was it that you had some discomfort from the mask but got a better nights sleep anyway?

You probably are going to have to turn the humidifier down but first try to cover all the tubing -- even on the nasal mask except for the pillows themselves.

If you can afford it there is a heated hose made in Australia that sells for approximately $175.00. You can find it on line if you google Aussie Heated Cpap Hose. If you are interested and can't find it let me know.

Glad you joined the forum!!

I am looking forward to your input. How long have you been on the hose?
