are there any that isn't so annoying to wear and doesn't hurt or disconnect whenever i move around?
i try to sleep on my back, but i twist and turn at night
in addition, is there anything that will allow my wife not to get woken up the noise the cpap machine makes, as the one that i used to have was VERY LOUD...even woke up the kids!

I would recommend getting one of the latest, greatest machines: ResMed S9 Auto or Philips Respironics System One Auto. both can be set to run in straight CPAP mode, or auto-adjusting mode. Both are extremely quiet.
as for masks, that's more of a challenge. i use the ResMed Mirage Activa nasal mask and it feels very comfortable for me -- it doesn't press against the skin. in fact it's meant to be loose-fitting so that the mask pillow can inflate with air, which creates a cushiony seal.
you'll twist and turn less when you clear out your apneas/ hypopneas.

There are hose management systems that hold your hose up over your head, which can help with the hose problem. You can also use a hair scrunchy and cup hook on your headboard to hold your hose up over your head. cpap.com and other online CPAP stores sell hose management systems.

Pardon my second post; I can't get the edit feature to work.
The DeVilbiss IntelliPAP is also very quiet, and it is available both as a regular CPAP or autoPAP, It has a well integrated humidifier that clips into the bottom of the machine, there are no wires, adapters, or hoses to connect the humidifier to the machine. The humidifier controls are located on the machine with the other CPAP controls, rather than being separate on the humidifier.

I was going to suggest a hose lift too, and these can be bought closer to home at www.apnealife.com . Also, my customers in the UK (and myself) have observed that a Hose Cover/Hose Huggie usually help to quieten things down. I agree with the Intellipap being quiet, as I use this too.

I would not recommend sleeping on your back. When I do, even with CPAP on, I start snoring. I sleep on my side, away from my wife, who also uses CPAP. As of the noise, I use ear plugs.

I am new to CPAP but I was speaking with the lady that brings the CPAP to the house and she says there is a new mask out which she offered me called Easy Life nasal mask. I am not sure how new it is or nothing but she says it's the most comfortable mask she has seen or worn. I tried on like 10 different mask and I can tell you it felt the most comfortable of all the mask I have tried.
