Who is the Best in Sleep?

Nominations are being accepted for Sleep Physicians and Sleep Technologists/Technicians that have excelled in the sleep community and should be recognized for their efforts in improving the field of sleep medicine . All accepted nominations will be posted on 1800CPAP.com along with opportunities to vote for the sleep physician/specialist and sleep technologist/technician you feel deserves your vote. Winners will be announced in June 2011 to coincide with the SLEEP conference in Minneapolis.

The following categories will be issued awards and prizes for:

How to Enter: Explain how your nominee excels by answering the following 10 questions. Please note the entrees will be judged solely on how well they meet these criteria — not on the writing ability of the person who submits the entry. Winners in the past have written at least a few paragraphs for each question and provided multiple examples to illustrate their points.

no offense to the other sleep techs on the forum, but my vote for

Best in Sleep-Sleep Technologist/Technician is Rock Hinkle for his passion for sleep, dedication to the patient, and knowledge of his field.

We agree and that is why a few weeks ago we asked Rock to be a judge on our panel of experts. He can still be nominated even though he is on the panel. Please go there and nominate him and others. Mike, i think someone should nominate you as well. :) http://1800cpap.com/bestinsleep

Thanks Mike I appreciate the compliment. However I believe that there are many people out there that do much more for the cause than I. Strawberri not only helped myself but more techs than I care to count pass the test. Conn and Lia have also done many great things for the industry and those that are served by it. Best not forget you Mike. All 4 of these special people have been a great influence on my career and passion. Nominate them and make it hard for me to choose a winner.

I would have to "pick" on Rock Hinkle as well. He's cared enough to stick by us thru thick and thin. I've not met anyone in the sleep field who has been more encouraging, more helpful, more caring than Rock Hinkle - and that is thru 7 in-lab PSGs & titrations, 6 sleep doctors and 6 other sleep techs. I've lost count of the other caring, generous, giving of their time sleep techs and RRTs who have shared suggestions, advice and support for me. Notice I did NOT at any time include sleep DOCTORS. Altho, now that I think about it, I should NOT fail to give credit to Dr S Y Park. Thank you as well, Dr Park, for all you do to advance successful OSA awareness and therapy.
