BUMPER STICKER Idea. What Do you Think?
Several recent discussions have indicated a need to increase the public’s awareness to Sleep Apnea and the untreated dangers. While chatting with several other sufferers, I asked about the idea of a “Bumper Sticker” to which would help getting the word out. The idea is in its infancy, but I would like to see what the response might be.
I would like to get input from everyone.
Remember, it is a bumper sticker, not a billboard. I would like to reference a web site where additional information can be obtained.
We want to direct a sufferer to more information, not sell them a brand.
Some of the ideas bantered so far:
APNEA – IT WILL LEAVE YOU BREATHLESS
CPAP ON TAP
GOT IT ???? SLEEP APNEA !!!!!
MY CPAP IS GOOD IN BED
NOT SLEEPING WELL ? ASK YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT SLEEP APNEA
WAKE UP !!! YOU MIGHT HAVE SLEEP APNEA
I want to hear your thoughts and ideas. Then we can proceed to the next step.

Tired? Get a sleep test.
Friends don't let apnea friends drive without their CPAP.
Don't remember your dreams? Get a sleep test.
Waking up tired? Get check for apnea.
Missing your REM sleep? Get checked for apnea.

You can make bumperstickers on www.Zazzle.com. You can choose your own sayings and your own designs and upload them to a Zazzle bumpersticker template. Then you can order as many as you want. So basically you could design ALL of the sayings and order whatever quantity you might want . If you post them for sale anyone can order them! Check it out.
I like your idea for getting the message out to people who need to know about OSA. You could even put this website on the bumberstickers for more information about OSA.

I think it is a great idea and the possiblities are endless. What about charms? T-shirts? Key chains? If one had some money to invest -- I think there would be a niche there to raise awareness and it could start as a grassroots movement.

i think it is a great idea! people need awareness.. i think many medical conditions are due to lack of air pressure they do NOT get....

Some additional input in a catch phrase:
Keep in mind you are trying to get the attention of somebody who has no idea what CPAP, APAP, or the terms dealing with Sleep Apnea. You need to imagine it as you were before you were diagnosed and knew what CPAP or APAP was.
We want to reach out to the unsuspecting person to spurn their interest.
