I need an MWT-40
I'm a pilot and the FAA wants me to get an MWT-40 in order to renew my FAA medical certificate. They also want me to have a drug screening before the test. This is not surprising, but they also require that I be tested for caffeine. I work outside the USA, and the sleep study centers I have dealt with so far do not have a caffeine test available - they just ask if you drink coffee and leave it at that.
So I need an MWT-40 test somewhere that can also test for caffeine. Also, I don't have American health insurance, so I will be paying out of pocket. I am already diagnosed with OSA, have my pressures titrated, and have an AHI averaging about 4.0 and AI close to zero using my CPAP machine. I really don't want or need another PSG, and would rather not pay a few thousand dollars for a PSG I don't need. But it seems many clinics will not offer an MWT without giving a PSG.
Does anyone know a place I can get a MWT and a caffeine test without getting another PSG first? I have records from 2 PSG tests in the last year.

Okay I am not an expert as Rock will tell you! :)
But if you don't fly in the states why bother? Just cause someday you "might" want to? I want to do a lot of things but then again I step backwards and take the practical step forward. If it isn't needed where you fly, then why bother for something that may never happen? Otherwise I feel like you should be willing to do whatever it takes to do what you wish -- including paying for it out of pocket for retesting if all you want is FAA approval for something you aren't using.
