I look like Rudolph the Red nose reindeer :)
First of all Happy Holidays to everyone. Apparently the top of the nasal pillows on my Swift LT are rubbing against the bottom part of my nose, mostly on the right side. Last night I put a bandaid in between but know this is more of a pressure thing than a friction issue (or maybe both) I have adjusted and re-adjusted and don't think I can loosen up the straps anymore. Any suggestions on what I can do to prevent this? The good news is I'm sleeping like a baby. Thanks.

i also use nasal pillows. when i have friction sores on my nose i apply a little neosporin to the spot before putting on the pillows. the soreness usually goes away in a couple of days. i have not had any problems with leakage when using it. i hope this might help.

Well I went to the ResMed website and they have a very detailed slide show on how to wear and not wear the Swift LT. My DME was no help whatsoever. I think I wasn't wearing it quite the right way (too high and too forward). I have adjusted it and am hoping for the best tonight. In addition they have another slide show on taking it apart, how to wash it and then reassemble it.

I can't wear the Swift LT without a similar issue at the tip of my nose, and I had been using a nasal pillows mask for 9 years before trying the Swift, so it's not a matter of getting used to it. It just touches the wrong places, no matter how tight the straps or how I rotated the plenum.
Even though the Swift is currently the most popular nasal pillow mask, it's not necessarily comfortable for everyone. Same is true for every mask. If you like nasal pillows, then check out the Puritan-Bennett Breeze and the Everest Headrest. I find both of them to be very comfortable and both have nothing which touches the face, unlike the Swift. But, what works for me may not work for you. Ah! That's the problem, isn't it?
