Isn't the goal of PAP therapy to help you get better so that you can do more? I can see someone having a disabilty and needing the help. Planning to go on disability, to me anyway, seems a little like planning a murder. It just seems wrong to me. Why not just take an early retirement?

i do not have enough National Insurance stamps untill next year that is why i have to wait

Read 99's comment about "national insurance stamps"! Very scary thing! That's what we're heading towards in this county.
99, sounds like you have a limit on the amount of health care you can receive each year. Is that correct?
I'm so so sorry for you! You need your CPAP and I wish I could get it for you! If you can't get the medical help then I support your for your quest in seeking disability.

to be diagnosed with apnea your ahi is above >5 i am about 50% compliant and my blood oxygen is about 77% i sleep about 2 or 3 days every week beside every night i have diabeties i fractured my scull at two years of age and am blind in my right eye and deaf in my right ear i am also on medication for high blood pressure and vertigo and the titration pressure is 16 but i asked the theripist to bump it up a little and now it is 18 i think it is slightly to high now but only a little

Why is your compliant rate at only 50% 99? What is causing your problems? With a pressure as high as yours you should qualify for bipap therapy I would think. Your blood oxygen level being at 77% I would think be an incentive to work on your compliance? It sounds though that you other medical conditions besides sleep apnea that would be a factor in your qualifying for disability.
Some feel that sleep apnea alone should be a qualifier for disability. I don't think that is your case if you have other conditions that would warrant disability.

i have put the figure at 50% that is guess work it is probably higher and i am working on getting it higher
i have a continual low grade headache that i am attribuing to low oxygen this headache i have had for about 30 years but it is low grade and when i am enjoying my self i do not notice the headache

How long have you been on your machine? Your compliance rate needs to improve as you are still having apneas when you aren't using it. If you are sleeping as much as what you indicate it is even more important to get the % of time used higher. With each apnea your health continues to decline. If you are having specific issues keeping you from using it more tell us what the problem areas are and maybe we can help figure out solutions.
What machine do you have? Can you get any data from it?
Your headaches should improve once you get your compliance rate higher, although you may have other underlying conditions that cpap can't address. I

i have had my resmed s8 escape for about 8 months
in august i was not well and so left off of the machine
but when i was well i had a loathing for the machine for about six weeks
and was using it on and off
then october came and i took to my s8 like a duck to water
i used to get into the clinicl menu but for some reason i cannot do that now

hypoxemia, low level of oxygen in your blood.
Your cells need a constant supply of oxygen to function normally. When this supply is reduced or interrupted, you can develop hypoxemia, a low level of oxygen in your blood. Hypoxemia can disrupt your body's functioning and harm vital tissues. In severe cases, it's life-threatening.
The main symptom of hypoxemia is shortness of breath, but depending on how quickly hypoxemia develops, you may experience a reduced capacity for exercise, fatigue and confusion.
Blood oxygen is measured by an arterial blood test or by an oximeter, a small device that's clipped onto your finger. Normal blood oxygen readings range from 95 to 100 percent at sea level. Values under 90 are considered low. Severe hypoxemia occurs when oxygen saturation drops below 80 percent.
