After using a c-pap fixed I was put on to a c-pap auto. Now I have been given a Philips Responics Bi-pap Auto B-flex. Is this an upgrade or a downgrade of my earlier machines?  Now it's getting the right mask. My sleep nurse has ordered me a Resmed Quattro FX. Maybe that will work for me.

Hi Carolyn.  It's not really an upgrade or a downgrade.  They've obviously changed your machine for another reason.  Haven't much time at the moment, but have a look at this discussion which explains the difference http://www.sleepguide.com/forum/topics/cpap-or-bipap
I would call it an upgrade.
