Surgery to Unblock Nose, then I read of Provent designed to Block the Nose!!

Just came across this newish alternative treatment to CPAP called Provent.  I'm about to go into hospital for surgery to unblock my nose (hopefully) and then I'm sat here watching a video of these little nasal plugs designed to block the nose.  Am I wasting my time?  Anyone tried this yet?

Watch the video from the news report http://www.ksdk.com/news/article/244030/3/Plugging-the-nose-to-trea...

I think that the fact that insurance does not yet cover it will keep it from being even tried by most people.  Plus, only a 40% success rate is not too appealing to me.
Hi Kath, JNK and some others have commented on this not positivly. Speedy recovery.Chris

Kath, I don't remember which surgery you scheduled. I had a badly deviated septum corrected and all six turbinates surgically reduced. This is one of the best things I ever had done in my life.

Don't let Provent confuse you.

Wow - thanks for that Rooster :)  I'm having a deviated septum corrected and trimming of the turbinates, so sounds the same.  Hope I can join you with saying it was the best thing I had done too!  I had the turbinates lasered back in August, but the good result was only temporary so hoping this one will work.  8 hours to go...... aargh!
Good luck, Kath.
