Hi -- i haven't heard anything about these guys --- but product ideas like the wearable CPAP are a dime a dozen. i wouldn't invest or put much hope in it unless they cleared the FDA process. will you post about this to the forum, or shall I?

Until the birth of Mary we were taught about original sin. Now Mary to be the Mother of the “Christ” was born of Immaculate Conception thus being born without original sin. This would be a evidence for argument that yes “The Creator reserves the option of breaking the natural laws of physics and matter that He created for us”.

One rule of thought is that the brain defragments like a hard drive while sleeping. This is REM sleep. Random images being deleted. Our Brain while awake records everything. During conversations with friends the brain records background noise and images. All of this is shuffled around and then during REM or the supposed defragmentation images deleted. Papers by crick and Mitcheson explore this idea during the 1980s and very early 90s.
If we keep a dream diary or try and recall dreams we just re-file what the brain has tried to dump. Another example would be maybe your 1st grade teacher. An old memory never recalled is being deleted years or decades later. You wake up and realize you just dreamed about someone you that were forgotten. The image is filed and the process will happen again.
Now as for Joseph that falls under another category. Divine inspiration or divine dreaming is controlled by the creator and would not necessarily fall under normal biologic function.

Yes, in my remembered dreams, it is almost always the case that I can relate the images back to something that recently happened or something I recently thought about. I assume there is nothing new in dreams - only old stuff being shuffled around and garbled up. This contradicts Joseph's experience.

That is interesting that you mention deleted images. Is the brain pulling images out of its "deleted folder" and playing around with them? Is there a "permanently deleted folder"? Could the "sand" that is in my eyes upon awakening be the remnants of the permanently deleted items? :)

Banyon,
God did design us to be logical. Thus the dreams that appear to be chaotic are actually field withimages that we know. By design our brains want order. What appears to be irrational dreaming is actually a collection of deleted images made into stories and events our brain can understand. Erg. The brain deletes images such as a cat, cup, and water. The frontal portion of the brain senses the images that are random and places them in an order which becomes rational yes disturbing.
We know we swing in water, cats swim and a cup holds water. So we end up with a cat swimming in our morning coffee.

Banyon,
That is a fascinating thought about dreaming. We have biblical references to dreaming and interpretations. Joseph interpreted dreams being given divine guidance by God. Does dreaming lead us closer to God or is it of God or by God? Who knows for sure?
We can through psychology decipher some dreaming revealing ones supposed nature. Great subject!
