WakeMate is a new sleep device coming out on the market that looks a lot like Zeo, but a heck of a lot cheaper (something like $50 instead of $250).  from www.WakeMate.com: Wakemate "tracks your sleep to wake you at the optimal time and tell you how to improve your sleep quality"

Beside the price, another advantage over the Zeo appears to be that the actigraph (the actual device) worn on a user's wrist synchs up with an iPhone app that will monitor and analyze the sleep data and give recommendations.

PD, sounds interesting. It's a shame that it's only offerred as a iPhone (or other similar phone) app. I am one of those old fashioned people that still has the basic flip open, has a few games, can't text, emergency only phone. Also does it track the actual levels of sleep? From what I read on their page I couldn't be sure.
Thanks for bring this to our attention, the cost is certainly better than Zeo. I think I saw something similar to the WakeMate somewhere- I'll do a search.
Thanks again for bring this product to our attention, PD.

I just read that WakeMate has delayed it's inital shipment to an unknow date, the closest being sometime in Febuary. They cite advances in their hardware and software as well as the difficulty of volume marketing.
Folks who preordered and paid $5.00 are feeling uneasy.

Thanks for that additional information, Mary Z. I'll be interested to see which one of these devices gains the most traction amongst customers. There was another one of these devices that's been around for a couple of years -- the SleepTracker. wonder how this new generation of products measure up/ compare to it.
