99, I'm not on valium , but I do take a small dose of klonipin several times a day. I know we're supposed to avoid sedatives, but I can't do without the klonopin. I've been on it for years, long before sleep apnea diagnosis. We really titrated the dose down to see if it was causing my daytime sleepiness, but we could only go so low. It didn't make a difference to being sleepy during the day at the way decreased dosage. I still haven't got my AHI and AI numbers good enough and continue to need provigil. Still, at my current dose- 200 mg daily, I yawn through the day though I couldn't fall asleep if I wanted to.
Thanks for the heads up on the valium.

i was thinking of purchasing a pulse oxymeter
to test my oxygen levels but i am waiting for december
What's the deal about Valium and sleep apnea? I take Xanax 1.0 at bedtime--have for a long time. I asked my sleep doc about weaning off of it in September--he said we could wait to do that because my body's used to it and he doesn't want to complicate this early treatment period with making major changes. I know we're not supposed to take sedatives, but.....there 'ya go..

According to the Benzodiazepine Equivalent Chart at benzo.org.uk, 0.25 mg Xanax equals 5 mg Valium.
