how should we identify ourselves as people with sleep apnea/ those of us who use CPAP? Hoseheads? Apneans? PAPers?

People with Sleep Apnea seems like such a mouthful. Any ideas?

I have been referring to myself as a hosehead. Of course there are those that have no idea of what I am talking about if they aren't a fellow hosehead.

I still like the idea of a bumper sticker or T-shirt to bring awareness to OSA/CSA. I know it was discussed at one point, any follow up on that thread?
Mike have you thought about handling shirts, etc. on your sister site?

We have a few people in the community that make shirts, I may see what they could do as far as the cost, etc. Anyone else interested if I can get a price?
Hi Mike,

I don't like "hosehead." I keep picturing Bob and Doug with a CPAP...

"PAPers" sounds weird. And looks like "papers."

"Apneans" sounds better. And has an historical original, as in the Roman "Apnean Way."

:-}

.
ummmmm

Heavy Breathers ;-)

Ok-- maybe it is time for me to go to sleep...
not against the idea about the shirts -- just not sure there's much of a market for them. would be interested in hearing others' views.

not enough of a market...unless someone was doing it as a hobby ;-)

There's a website (cafepress?) where you can set up a t-shirt design, and then they print them on demand, as they're ordered.

The price is the same if many members order it, or only one.

So, it's feasible if anyone want to take the time to design the shirt.

Now that I'm thinking of it, I might take some time to put together a couple of samples...

There's already a market. People have sites up, but I don't care for any of the stuff they're presenting.
I like "hosers" myself, when I can call us anything. It's still hard for me for some reason. But I'd definitely buy and wear a shirt and/or a sweatshirt if I liked what it said.....
