Eye problems with FitLife or other full face mask
7 Replies

I have recently started using Resperonics FitLife full face mask and have my eye doctor started me on drops for lid inflammation.  Has any one had this problem with a mask that covers the eyes?

Hi Mary, thanks for your comment. It looks like we may have finally gotten the authorization for the ASV that my husband needs. Hopefully he will get it by Friday. I sure hope that it helps. He has really struggled these last couple of months while they were doing all the testing. Everytime he did one, he would have this period after where he couldnt stay awake and his head was all "fuzzy". He's had me very worried. Hopefully he will start feeling better. :)

Mary, I found a cap over my head- a knit cap that just fits over the top of my head helps take up dome of the slack in the headgear. Unfortunatly it does not helpp with those forehead leaks, but luckily mine are mainly under control. I have used the silicone earplugs on the large size mask, the small is too small, and the large too large, LOL. I just put a pencil, or a little smaller size bead around the mask where it actually should make contact with the face (where it bends in- on that edge). I found I had to change it every night so I simply removed the silicone, rolled it in a ball and put it in an airtight container, then started again the next night.
Good luck,
Mary Z.

PS: I had the same problem With the quattro- tore the bridge on my nose up.

Mary B, welcome to SleepGuide. As a fellow forum member I hope you enjoy and find the discussions as interesting as I do.
I also use the FitLife Total Face Mask and except for the marks it leaves on the sides of my face, I love it.
