I have recently started using Resperonics FitLife full face mask and have my eye doctor started me on drops for lid inflammation.  Has any one had this problem with a mask that covers the eyes?

Mary, I have not had this problem with the FitLife Mask and I do have dry eyes. I am going to try to Oracle 452 so I will let you know how that works. I would like to get rid of the daily grooves on my cheeks from the FitLife. Did your eye doctor say anything about the safety of continuing to use this mask? Good Luck.
Hi Mary
I have been using CPAP for approx 5 months and the biggest issue for me is my eyes. I have never had a problem with dry eyes but after only a few days on CPAP I had to go to the doctor as my eyes were so bad I had trouble even reading. I was flooding them with lubricating eye drops but nothing helped. The Doctor seemed surprised that anyone would exerience this problem!!
I use a Quattro Full Face mask with the nose bit as tight as it can go and still any air seems to irritate my eyes. My pressure is set at 8 - 18 so it can get pretty high.
Afte trying to use a range of home-made protection I have finally had great success with Tranquil Eyes goggles (from the Dry Eye Shop - online) . They will sit behind the Quattro mask and while it is very annoying to have to cover my eyes it is the only thing that is providing any protection. I also tried the Quartz goggles but found they left big marks around my eyes.

Thanks Susan, It's amazing how we come up with things that the professionals don't. The mask I use covers my eyes, so I'm not sure about the goggles. maybe just eye patches would help me. Thanks a lot

Mary ~

Wishing you the best of luck with the Oracle 452. You have been working so hard on getting CPAP to work but having pressure problems and facial grooves, etc. at such high pressure . . .

I will look forward to hearing how the Oracle 452 works for you - here's hoping it is real good news !

Best,
Renee

Thanks for asking about the Oracle, Renee. Unfortunately I had trememdous leaks with all thesizes of nasal plugs. I liked the mouthpiece though. It's already returned. Sigh.

Hello Mary ~

So sorry to hear about the Oracle not working out. I was hoping for you that with the mouthpiece, perhaps, you wouldn't even the nose plugs and you would have found Utopia ! Good Luck in your continued search . . .

Best,
Renee
