What could be happening is that even with the chin strap your lips are slightly opening and allowing air to escape giving you the sensation that you are blowing bubbles. Chin straps are notorious for allowing the lips to part allowing your therapy to escape.
Many find they have to seal the lips by either using a gentle tape or Polident strips to help keep the lips sealed. If you use tape, many find the blue painters tape is gentle and probably cheaper than the medical grade -- but use caution if you use it since it wasn't actually meant to be used on the body. Medical grade tap should be the gentle kind. Get it wide enough to cover the mouth and use gentle pressure when putting it on and turn back the corners for easy removal. Others find two pieces but vertically over the lips works as well. If you elect to try Polident strips, cut them in half get them moist and apply to lips and then press lips together. If you find you need to open your mouth you still can and then simply lick your lips to reseal. Neither of these options are recommended by DME's -- but they appear to work for those that do not want to wear full face masks.
Good luck on finding a solution.
