I haven't followed your other posts, so please excuse me if I cover something already discussed.
1. There is a high probability that you start mouthbreathing at times during the night. When this happens the therapeutic pressure is lost and you may start having apneas again. Do you have drymouth? Have you noticed your mouth is open when you awaken during the night or has a bed partner noticed you mouthbreathing? The solution to this problem is a full face mask (FFM). A full face mask covers the nose and the mouth and maintains the therapeutic pressure when the mouth opens, thereby preventing apneas.
2. Do you have a data-capable machine and software which reports daily information on apneas, hypopneas, snores, mask leak, and pressure? (Your page says "trial machine".) This is the only way to be sure you solve all the problems and get a good therapy. I started out with a basic machine that did not have these capabilities. Today I would not be without my software - it is indispensable to my health.
That machine is fully data capable. it is the first Restraxx machine. You need the software though. Try raising your humidity.

I don't use ResMed machines, so maybe a ResMed user can confirm this, but according to the manufacturer's description, that machine only records hours of usage. See http://www.cpap.com/cpap-machine/resmed-s8-escape-II-cpap-machine.html.
You want a machine that reports efficacy data such as apneas, hypopneas, snores, mask leak, pressure and other data.

Answer 2 - You are getting stuck with a basic machine which gives you no useful data. The card in that machine only reports hours used. The purpose of that card is to allow your insurance company to refuse to pay for anything CPAP for you if you do not use the machine enough hours - nice feature eh?
Scream bloody murder and don't get stuck with that machine.
The Escape only provides hours used -- not the AHI, leaks, etc. Sorry to disagree with you Rock on this one.
My son-in-iaw got stuck with the Escape Auto so I am familiar with what info it provides. The Auto will give SOME LIMITED data via the LCD screen but it must be checked before noon. If her machine is just an Escape II-- as far as I can determine it doesn't provide any data other than compliance.
The S8 machines are good machines -- but you want one that provides data that is beneficial to YOU and not just the DME.
I would try to switch the machine out for a data capable machine.
