We understand that YOU just went thru an at-home sleep study. What device was used? What were the results? Are they gonna be compared w/an in-lab study of your sleep? Are they gonna be compared w/data from your at-home use of a fully data capable CPAP? Or APAP?

So, Rock,

Assuming that you do get the AutoSet II, do you have a source for the software?

Now that I've been using my AutoSet II for close to a month, I'm wanting to get the software to see more detailed results.
W-I-C-K-E-D G-R-I-N !!! NOW you know WHY I consider the Resmeds the better units. At least the fully data capable ones anyway.

You are right, they both give excellent therapy. Respironics is just too thick-headed and dull to figure out how much easy access to lots of data is appreciated by their end-users. And, obviously their end-users aren't any too important to them since they've taken a step backward w/this new "direct reporting sytem" - and right when DeVillbiss and Fisher & Paykel have wised up and Covidien has updated. Double duh.

We thought they were so progressive and really listening to their end-users when they came out w/EncoreViewer and now ..... this??? Snort~
Sleepguide.com will be my source. I have not really looked into this yet Andy. I am sure that we will be able to find it if needed.

I do not know if I would use the term "better units" Judy. The Resmed package just suits my immediate needs. If Respironics were to all of a sudden publish the software I might easily be persuaded to jump that fence. I might add that the majority of my end user experience has been with the Autoset II. I am more familiar with this particular unit.

Okay, Rock, baby. Nit-pick. Not better devices in that they provide better therapy, I've said repeatedly the Respironics provide excellent therapy. BUT more consideration for their end-users (the Resmeds that is).

And, yeah, the PR SystemOne has intrigued me since I saw the first one at our local apnea support meeting. If they come out w/the 2.1 software AND I can get my hands on it ... I could possibly be swayed as well. Mebbe. I'm no so sure about this Kiernan fella heading up Resmed now. Dr Farrell, I think, really did care about and consider Resmed's end-users. This Kiernan guy I'm not so sure about.
Judy recommended the ResMed S8 Autoset II for me and I was able to get one. I really like the machine. I also have the software so I can check in on my therapy. Thanks again Judy. (Hey, are you sure she isn't getting a kick-back from ResMed? ++wink++wink++)
Please keep us posted Rock.

Aren't you glad you have all of our wonderful advice? LOL!!!!!
Yeah! You KNOW we wouldn't steer you wrong, Rock!!
I pay attention
Hey Rock,

Jeez don't let Judy get a swelled head or she will be hard to live with. LOL!!!
BeeAsleep,
where did you get your software for the ResMed?

Mary
