Wayne,

To solve these types and problems and get an effective therapy, it was necessary for me to upgrade to a software capable machine and buy the software. I am a strong believer that this is the only way for most people to get a good therapy. A few get lucky and have a prescription for the right pressure and a mask that works well from the start. But these are a very few. What is the chance you could upgrade?

On the humidifiers and dry mouth, the humidifiers are designed to keep the nasal passages moist but they will not keep the mouth moist if you do much mouth breathing with your full face mask. I do a lot of mouthbreathing when I have congestion. Do you have any congestion?
Hi Wayne:

Among the possible solutions are:

1) Try increasing the heat/humidity setting on your humidifier. Be sure that your 6' hose is insulated to hold heat & thereby reduce condensation.

2) Try a chin strap, or a full-face mask.

3) It's possible that your pressure needs have changed. Have you gained weight, or changed medications since you started CPAP? If so, you may need a pressure bump. See your provider.

Bingo!!! Rock wrote what I was going to write...only better..... ;^)

If you're still snoring though, that's a huge clue that the pressure isn't correct. Either an in lab titration only study is in order, or a take home Auto Titrating unit that you'll use for a week. Let your physician know about the problem you're having.

Good luck Wayne.

Wayne,
What type of mask are you using? What brand and style?
I get terrible dry mouth, after all, with a chinstrap, the mouth is closed all night, what do you expect? Ha. Using the Mirage Swift I mask,+ chinstrap, + increased humid to 4 fro 3 (summer), I still have to press "off" take the mask off and drink water at least once a night. But in the morning, it's drymouth, bigtime, I don;t care, that's a side affect, but you should'nt be snoring, the other comments address that, it needs to be fixed. Hope you have a good outcome with the right equipment.
Dry mouth and snoring? I would be willing to say you are mouth breathing. It would be interesting to see the leakage data from a night's sleep. You may need to change to a full face mask to resolve the problem.
