I am most comfortable sleeping in a very cool room, so my air conditioning is on during the summer nights, and my window cracked during the winter. I have wondered about temperature increasing the AHI.
I like it cool during the day -- but hate being cool at night. I find for myself I do better in a warmer room than a cooler room.
If it is too hot in my room, I have nightmares. But if it is too cold, my muscles hurt terribly when I wake up in the morning. I'm like a Goldilocks! *sigh* :O) So, I got a heated mattress pad to keep my muscles from getting so sore. Now, I can have the AC on while I sleep in the summer (I have the mattress pad on the lowest setting) and it keeps my muscles from hurting in the winter. I bought a cheap one that lasted about 18 months and then my mom gave me a better quality one and it is holding up WAY better than the other one. It's nice to finally find a solution!
