There is a person, SnoreBunny, posting about a problem she has recently run into at

We've been reading in the news recently of bed bug infestations on the rise in the USA. This person is really in a bit of a tough spot and I would hope perhaps our RPSGTs could offer some advice or assistance.

The lab I just left was very clean. We washed all of the linen used after each use. Most of the lab beds that I have seen have plastic sheets making them very easy to clean. Coming up in resaurants I have heard some horror stories about hotels and their linen services from the employees. I will try to find some info on this if I can.

Judy I can't get into those sites.

Judy -- to drop a link outside the site, cut and paste the link into the text box, then go to the toolbar in the text box and click the link icon to the left of the camera, then paste the link again into the box that appears. then you should be all set.
This one is from the mayo clinic

Fudge! I'll repost them in the morning. Or go to apneasupport.com and look for posts by SnoreBunny. Past my bedtime and early morning appointment tomorrow - but I was searching for the old 1970's Faygo RedPop boat song commercial.
And then when I found it I so enjoyed listening to it I played it over and over .....

Thanks for the Harvard and Mayo links, Rock Hinkle! And, Mike, thank you too. I forget to paste in the text box and up top too.
I can't speak for most labs but I'd like to think they have higher sanitation standards. All of our mattresses are covered in zippered plastic covers that encase the entire mattress. Our pillows are handled the same way. In between pts, we of course change all the normal bedding and the mattress and pillow covers are sanitized with Control III Elite. This is great for sanitation purposes but they tend to overheat pts some because they don't breathe very well. These are great precautions to prevent contamination and it keeps things pretty hypoallergenic for most any pt.
It never ceases to amaze me. Mayo Clinic is such an outstanding and leading medical facility - BUT - their website is so filled with ..... pap, like in bland baby cereal. Aimed at the most ignorant of patients. There's never anything really "meaty" to the info they provide. And just one or two sentences or maybe a paragraph or two per page is a real PITA as well. God bless Harvard!! They have a fantastic website. Even Cleveland Clinic has a better, more informative website than Mayo.
