Using an online provider for CPAP machine/supplies?

I need a new machine. The I'm using is not working. it's outside the warranty so I'm thinking about getting another machine.

The local sleep clinic that supplied my first one won't ever get my business again due to some poor customer service and billing issues that took me a long time to straighten out.  The 2nd DME provider I've found who helps with mask/filter replacements is much better but he doesn't have any machines under the $2k mark and doesn't offer a cash discount.

Sooo... I'm left looking online.  I had been watching CPAP.com but they seem be gone now or at least that address is not working.  Amazon would be my fall back but I've noticed a few other sites seem to have the same machine at a cheaper price. Has anyone used an online site to order a machine? What was your experience like?

Hello: I am with a full service DME Company and would love to be of service to you. Please let me know how I can help you. We will be able to offer you a cash discount and also offer you all replacement services. Thanks.

not to endorse them by any means, because i think there are a lot of high quality online retailers out there who could meet your needs, but i checked today and cpap.com was up and running.  maybe cpap.com had a technical glitch?

do a google search under "cpap supplies" and look at all the ads that appear on the search results pages.

I guess I'd be leary of doing it online but I live in a small town so fit hey do me badly, I can get in their face with them. I guess what would bother me is if they sent you a lemon then you have to go through all the return stuff.

cpap.com has not gone anywhere- I just brouught up the website.  Their phone numbers are: 1-800-356-5221, Monday through Friday 8am-10pm CST, Saturday 8am-6pm CST, for immediate assistance. Or for international callers, call 713-351-3414.

I haven't ordered a machine on line, but have good luck with cpap.com for other supplies, I would trust them.
