An update.
Since I started my therapy, on a responics system one bi-pap auto machine, my ahi's have been slowly coming down. I have got totally used to wearing the mask. At first it gave me panic attacks and I was really scared using it. But no trouble now. My ahi's were 34+ at the start of treatment. This morning my machine showed 12.6 average for last 7 days. I know this is a long way from good but I take a lot of medication which affects treatment. I am finally feeling better, less sleepy and lethargic. Surely getting much better readings will help my health and the threat of complications. What do you think?

I am very proud of you Carolyn. As for your health I can't respond without knowing all of the details. i will say that better readings can't hurt.

Carolyn, I take a long list of medicines which cause me to have a high AHI. Better numbers may make you feel better. My doc said since I was not desaturating (O2 going low) my high AHI would not affect my health. In your case a pressure adjustment may well be needed. Keep us posted.
