What does this theory say?
For myself, I have no unwillingness to use CPAP.
I think that overall I have a harder time with my male patients than I do the woman. Men pout, and you can actually see it in the brainwaves. Older men are the worst as they are usually more set and comfortable in their ways. Kind of makes it hard to talk an 80 year old into using something he is dead set against.
I've witnessed a couple of grown men throw a tantrum about wearing a mask to bed at night. there was hostility and anger there that i haven't seen with a woman, although i suppose that's possible too.

My husband was grumbling under his breath because I have to use a CPAP. He was totally against it and he wasn't even the one using it! He was the one that was constantly complaining that I wasn't breathing during the night and yet he doesn't want me using a CPAP. Hmmm, he has been looking at industrial strength wood chippers, maybe I should sleep with one eye open....
I have had the issue of unwillingness as far as my ego. First impression, each of my kids laughed, my dog barked and went crazy, but I kept at it. The problem I have is that I go to sleep now, just fine, wearing the CPAP, but I wake at 3 a.m. againand find the mask on the floor....

That is my problem. I cant get comfortable and spend most of the night trying to keep it adjusted properly, By 3 am, I am so frustrated that in the floor it goes. I havent used mine for a couple of years
