from a user: Is anyone using an Auto BiPap machine.

I am considering getting one but am curious about the settings.

What would be an example of the settings on an Auto BiPap machine??

Don't hink I am getting all the facts from my supplier.

Any help, or opinions will be appreciated

This all depends on the pressure prescribed by your doctor.  Your supplier should not really be the one you count on for guidance with an AUTO machine.  Since Mike posted this I cannot look up your profile and see what type of machine you are presently using.  There seems to be an  opinion  out there that an AUTO is a superior machine because of the capabilities of programming a pressure that changes with your need.  Not everyone needs an AUTO machine.  My S8 does AUTO, BiPAP, and CPAP.  I've tried all three, but find the constant pressure of the CPAP to be the easiest to deal with.  I think this is best handled in close collaboration with your sleep doctor.  Thar said, the settings will vary- some people like a wide pressure setting  such as 4-20.  Some like a narrow range slightly below and above your prescribed pressure e.g., your prescribed pressure is 8, you might set the machine at 7-10.  Then you watch your AHI and AI and try to fine tune your settings.  If you are consistently reaching the upper limit of ten, you might raise it a bit.  If your AHI is below 5 you are in the normal range though some people report AHIs much lower.  Good luck in your decision.
