Mine felt the same at 1st, with the low air, but it took less than 1 hour to never look back as it became like my own skin. In about 2 months of CPAP I never felt like I did with this mask. If I end up having to NAIL my mouth shut, I will. I will never ever, EVER part with this. I don't see how any other mask survives in the marketplace after this....
Ginny, I hope you are getting some comfort with the Swift LT. I've used the Mirage Swift I & II, Mirage Swift LT and currently the Mirage Swift FX.
Basically, the Swift LT has the same duel-walled silicone nasal pillows as the FX. The nice feature about the LT is the clip on top so you can run the hose up over your head. I found it works better than in front laying on the bedding, because for some reason, the Swift LT seems to pull down, because of the weight and gravity, for me, when used that way. Sometimes the problem with all these masks is to find the best way to lay the hose up over your head and to one side, to give yourself enough slack to move around while not weighing the nasal pillow assembly down or to one side. I loop my hose around a small lamp on the bed stand, to a chair, where the machine is. It gives me enough slack. I can't yet find the hose in front of me on the blanket works as well, it pulls down, like I said.
Lately, I'm getting water in the nasal pillows, so have to set humidity down, it changed a lot in 2 days, as we have rainy conditions here.
Hope this helps., G.
Thank you for your input. So far I have the Humidity set the highest. We are having very dry weather. But if I get some "rain fall effect" I will now know to turn it down. I love (well, not love but...) the hose up the front of my head. I have a towel on my headboard and run it over that to the small table next to the bed the machine sits on. I like how easy it is to clean the pillows. It is by far the best of the 3 I have tried so I am sticking with it unless in the future
something better comes along! Ginny
For right now your life does revolve arround cpap.I am sure you have applied many bandages use that knowledge and bandage material to customise your head gear. Pad a cheek has many helpful bits. Like new shoes some need adjustments to make them not pinch or fall off. The dme works for you .Some comunicate better than others. You have never said I can not bandage that wound, their is a solution. Good Sleep,Chris
