Mitch,
I understand your frustration!!! It isn't any fun to have to strap a mask on at night and then still be exhausted the next day!! DId you have a sleep study done in a lab? Did they note any other sleep disorders -- such as restless leg syndrome, periodic limb movement, or others? Those other sleep disorders can disrupt sleep as much as OSA. Check with your doctor about other sleep disorders.
Do you sleep with a pet? I know I sleep with my dog and he definitely interfers with my sleep.
How old is your mattress? An old worn out mattress can lead to disrupted sleep.
Do you have other underlaying medical conditions?
Do you practice good sleep hygiene?
Do you have GERD?
If these aren't contributing to your problem then --
I do know though that many of us didn't feel well rested right away. Each of us is very different and you body has been sleep deprived for a long time probably. It will take time to repay your sleep debt. Are you getting optimal treatment? Does you machine record useful information? Are you mouth breathing? Are you having mask leaks?
If you can let us know some more information some of us will try to help you.
