I think this has got to be a machine error. What do you guys think?
What do you think about my machine giving me an AHI reading of zero every night? I have been on my CPAP for 4 months. My original AHI at my sleep study was 82. It was up and down all over the place at first and now for about 4 weeks and now it is zero every night. My therapist acted like that was great but I think something must be wrong the machine especially since I do not any change in the way I feel. What should I do?

That's a tough one, I don't know what I would do. Is your AI also 0.0 (may be a silly question)?
What machine do you have?
Im no expert but I would try a overnight oximeter -- it goes on your finger, an absurdly simple device. This can double check what your machine says.
The oximeter measures oxygen, of course, and that's the real deal.
It's the most basic of measurements, the most important I think. Your CPAP doesn't record that directly, far as I know.
Ask your doctor, of course, but if you get hold of an overnight recording device (sold at walmart.com, walgreen.com and other places) that should confirm or refute the data from your CPAP.
Don't be surprised if your doctor would rather have you do a 2,000 dollar sleep study, but the little secret about that is -- he will just look at your oxygen level , taken by an oximeter, anyway. He will hook up all the other stuff too, but that oxygen level number is what he will be really after.
Plus -- how do you FEEL? If you feel energetic, if you aren't tired, that's a big deal too. But the overnight oximeter is more objective.. And if you own one, you can use it every time you want.

Resmed S-9. It doesn't give me a lot of readings. The only one I can get is AHI and it says 0 every night now. My doc gave me a prescription for Nuvigil but I do not want to take it. That seems like putting a bandaid on it. I want to know what is going on.
I still feel sleepy and tired all the time. I asked the doc about an oximeter and he said that wasn't the problem. My oxygen level was down to 80% during the first study and I have a brother that has to have oxygen along with the CPAP. But he said I could have another study.

My DME just did an overnight pulse ox test on me, no desats under 95%, but AHI 22.1 and AI 5.9. SInce I didn't desat do you mean that I should ignore my numbers. I still take Nuvigil for excessive Daytime Sleep Sleepiness.

I know that you have been going 100 miles an hour. How much of that baby weight have you lost?
