More Fully Data Capable xPAPS Hitting The US Market !!!

Covidien recently introduced the new Sandman Auto, DeVilBiss recently introduced the IntelliPAP Info CPAP and IntelliPAP AutoAdjust, and Fisher & Paykel has introduced their SleepStyle HC254 Auto.

The Breas iSleep 20i is a rather intriguing APAP, fully data capable including a memory card and software. Can be used in clinical settings and at home, 3.1 lbs w/empty humidifier. Can be used w/external 12.5/24 VDC. Auto switching power supply for international travel. 6.8"x 6.8"x 8.2" dimensions. Check it out.

They also make a fully data capable bi-level

Breas was a firm based in Sweden which has been acquired by GE Healthcare and now has an office (as of March 2007) in Baltimore, MD, USA. The Head Office remains in Sweden.

Move over Respironics and Resmed. You're getting some good competition!!!! DeVilBiss recently took part in a comparison challenge w/the Respironics M Series APAP w/A-Flex. It would be interesting if some of the above companies would be offering comparison challenges!

Good post Judy!!

I wish I would have learned more about the different machines prior to obtaining mine -- although the current machine I have is great and I am not complaining about it.
Judy, do you know anyone using these? I'd be interested to hear from someone who has first hand experience with one of these new devices. Would be even more interesting if such person had previously been on a ResMed or Respironics machine that they can compare it to
Not off-hand, Mike. There are several (not many) who have posted at cpaptalk.com that have one or the other of the above. Whether any of them had used a Resmed or Respironics prior I can't say. dsm recently posted there about a German brand that sounds pretty good but that company isn't expressing any interest in obtaining FDA approve for use in the US. I've exchanged posts w/two persons using the Breas - but heaven knows who and when and how long ago now. Or even where. I think one at apneasupport.com (the first one) quite some time ago and I'm not sure where the most recent.
We just had a new post at cpaptalk.com whose husband just got a new DeVilBiss. Hopefully she/he/they will register and take part in the forum and will provide information and answer questions about it.
