I have been on a c-pap machine for over 6 months, and have recently started experiencing what my sleep specialist called Aerophagia.  Has anyone else experienced this, or have any easy fixed to it?  Any information and or solutions would be greatly appreciated! TIA

Hello Mother-in-law. I am glad that you found this site once again. As I told you earlier I believe that your apnea is positional. Meaning that you have more events on your back then on your side. This means that your pressure needs change from one position to another. Talk to your sleep guru about setting your machine to an auto-PAP. At first you may want to keep the range a little wider. Maybe a range of 5 with your optimal pressure as the median. Personally I would want to tighten that range to 3 as I evaluated the data. This may help with the air swallowing.

We may need to re-evaluate you this summer when you visit. I am very proud of your commitment on this.

Your daughter and mine will be visiting in 2 weeks.

Rooster thanks for educating me on positional apnea. It has truly helped in my sleep evaluations.
