Hi,

I'm new here. Just started my CPAP therapy just started toward the end of Dec. I am trying to adjust to this. I will do what I need to make it work right for me. I have a Fisher & Paykel Icon. I do not understand what the "ramp" feature really means. Please help, if you can.

Thank You

The machine gradually ramps up to the air pressure you need, rather that all at once.

Just as Gordon says, the machine starts at a low pressure and gradually raises it to your prescribed pressure.  Some people find using the ramp helps them acclimate easier to the higher prescribed pressure, or get to sleep before the max pressure is reached.
