Hi Glenda--you have a lot of stress going on with the job situation which is possibly contributing to your fuzziness. BUT I've gotta tell you that before I was diagnosed, and even after, I'd lost so much cognitive function (memory/concentration/word retrieval, etc.) that my kids actually thought I was sliding into dementia....and frankly, so did I. It's sleep deprivation, for sure. Was for me, and it is for you. Once it finally catches up with you, and beats you down, everything's a fog.

It's gotten noticeably better since I've been on CPAP, at least recently. It didn't happen at first. Not at all. But it's slowly improving.

Try really hard not to put pressure on yourself, or judge yourself. You can't help being in the fog. Your brain's been short of O2 for an unknown period of time and it's temporarily worn completely out. So it gets cranky and wants to shut down. The longer you're on CPAP, the sooner you may begin to see improvement. But don't expect it overnight. It's just not gonna happen. I suspect you're like me in that you've have apnea for a long time, undiagnosed. It's been chewing away for so long it's kinda startling when the effects finally hit.

You WILL feel better. Just be gentle with yourself. Pushing it won't help one bit. Feel free to write me anytime. I'm usually around in a timely manner.

Glenda, a really good way to get a fast response from people is to post your need for help on "Discussions". Just click on "Discussions" at the top of your page, then click on "Start new discussion". It then opens up to the entire SG community and there always someone on there, and usually active conversations going on. You can see what's happening by looking at the right side of your page and scrolling up and down to see the topics currently online.
I'd suggest you title your new Discussion with "I'm new and I need help"--then describe what you're struggling with in the body of the Discussion opening page. Then you won't have to explain it over and over again, and you'll start getting responses based on the actual issue.
This site is pretty easy to navigate, so just get right on and give it a try. You can't hurt anything. Even I, who am a computer dumbie, haven't ever managed to screw anything up on here that can't be easily fixed!!
