I'm a lawyer diagnosed with apnea about four years ago. By the end of the first year I had given up on cpap. Couldn't stand my equipment. Hadn't slept past 2 am even one night. I'd wake up with a start, mad as hades, wanting to destroy my cpap with a sledge hammer. There was no way I'd be able to put it back on that night.

I was developing some aromatic products with my brother and was learning all about how my nose works and what goods smells might do for a person. I had the idea to experiment with good smells in connection with my cpap.

I remember well that first night I tried it. I just kept saying to myself "This is too good to be true" over and over and the next thing I knew it was 7 am. My mask was on. My cpap was on. I had slept flat out for eight solid hours. It was my first real night's sleep in years.

That was four years ago and I'm happy to say that every night since then, including last night, I slept flat out straight through the night with my cpap. I love my cpap. It is my friend. My kids call it my Sleeping Machine.

All of this led me to develop an aromatic product for cpap. I called it PurSleep (that was before the late night commercials for the anti-snoring device stole the name). It has been on the market for two years and I am happy to report that many people have had similar experiences to mine. I am happy to offer free product samples to anyone on the forum (please provide enough information so that I know that the request is legitimate). Just contact me by email (above) and include a mailing address.

I have since developed a number of ancillary products that make cpap more comfortable, including an innovative chinstrap (the papCAP) that has been the solution for mouth leaking for many cpap patients. Some people can even get rid of their Neoprene headgear and attach their mask right to the cap. I have a very simple and effective hose suspension system that will fit in your shirt pocket. I also have a water bottle that makes it simple to take distilled water with you when you trip--whether you check it in your luggage (the bottle is guaranteed leak-proof) or carry it on (the bottle is specially marked as a medical liquid, in accordance with TSA guidelines).

Anyway, feel free to visit my website: www.pursleep.com or ask me any questions. I also very much appreciate honest feedback, good, bad, or otherwise.

Hey there!
Yes, we are almost neighbors.
Do you have a good sleep doctor in the area? My husband Bruce (he'll be joining soon if he already hasn't) has had TERRIBLE luck with the doctors here. The ones at the U of U sleep center were the worst. We have just about given up...

Believe me, I consider it a privilege that I'm able to learn from sleep apnea patients. I also really enjoy participating on this site.

I tried to send you an email and it gets bounce back every time. Here is what I was trying to send you:...Sleepyguy, I saw your post on Sleepguide my wife and I both have sleep apnea. I just started using a bipap and have severe complex apnea now due to a auto accident I had 2 years ago I had some brain injury along with neck and lower back injuries so I am on a lot of pain meds. I am on disability now, I was on a cpap before the accident for a number of years but did not use it all the time due to not getting use to the mask and the pressure and my wife was diagnosed with sleep apnea about 2 years ago and got fed up trying to get use to the machine and mask. I just got her back using it this past week, with a new full mask, after I kept telling her about the problems of not using it and the hard problems of her sleeping each night. I would like to find out more about your products and if possible if you could send us some samples, we are saving up to due a order when we can find out how it going to work.

please email me at : richardmacbeth@gmail.com
Thanks
