It's the ordinary little good deeds that go unnoticed that are often the most powerful. One of our members donated a CPAP machine to a person in need, and now that person is headed down the path to compliance with CPAP and a better life. To avoid embarrassing the donor and the recipient, I will not mention their names, but the deed speaks volumes about the quality of the community we are building here.
Like many in these troubled economic times, the recipient of the machine had just lost her job, and didn't have insurance to pay for a machine. Yet she knew she had Sleep Apnea and was motivated to treat it. The donor was a complete stranger, just a regular guy on this forum who appreciated the risk posed by untreated Sleep Apnea, and knew he could help.
While it's rare to have a CPAP to spare, each time we reach out to another and answer a question, or add our own perspective on an aspect of CPAP treatment, we are participating in the same type of good deed as the CPAP donor we here at SleepGuide are so proud of. So thank you all for putting the "community" in this Sleep Apnea community. We look forward to each and every contribution you make to each other, and to Sleep Apnea awareness at large.
