Hi Robert--Welcome to SleepGuide. I just want you to know you're not alone feeling the way you do about your CPAP equipment. A lot of people on here can relate. When were you diagnosed? and how long have you been on CPAP??

Honestly, I kind of got a kick out of your profile "picture"---reason being, it reminds me of the way I felt 6 months ago. I was diagnosed in June '09--I was so sick I couldn't see straight. Started CPAP in July and it was really hard at first. It took me a long time to accept MY equipment. But I gotta tell you, now I'm feeling so much better that I'm a believer.

I just don't want you to get discouraged and quit before you've had a chance to feel the relief that's coming down the pike. It may take awhile, depending on how much of a sleep deficit you have. But this is a GREAT place for you to be for information and support. When I was dealing with this early on, my thought process was all screwed up. I wasn't making good decisions about a lot of things 'cause I just couldn't think straight. Nor could I remember anything. I don't know if that's part of what you're dealing with, but if so try to trust that that will clear up a lot with treatment. I'm still loopy sometimes, but NOTHING like I was then. I can function now.

So keep the faith. I'm gonna send you a friend request. I wish I'd put this directly on the Forum, but I just wanted to reach out to you to say, I understand your discourement. A LOT of people on here understand, so I hope you'll post your concerns on the Forum. Or better yet, start a new Discussion headlined "I need help"--you'll get a lot of fast replies--people honestly want to help and that's the hot place for interaction.

Take care, and I hope you'll accept my friend request!

Susan McCord :-)
