Well here in the USA we get to pick our own Sleep Docs, Sleep Clinics,and DME'S for the most part. There doesn't seem to be the waiting list that we sometimes hear about from our neighbors in Canada.

I have never dealt with medical services outside of our country. I would like to say that ours is the best, but I know that would be naive. From reading and talking to different people it seems that every system has it's pros and cons.

everybody would say that thiers is the best
even though it may be dismal as there may be repercussions for saying differnt unless you are really brave
the best way around this is for in indepentant empirical study by some large organistions like the world health organisation or something simular

For a long time ago, I described how it is here in Denmark. Since there has been a great development in the way we do it.
Our sleep centers are now built as large inter-disciplinary departments where there is sleep doctors, ENT's and Neurologists who jointly make decisions.
This I regard as a huge step forward.
We have no waiting lists; everything is paid by our public health care system, including subsequent controls, possibly surgeries and all necessary equipment. Therefore we have no insurance issues.
Today we have the capacity to diagnose and treat a very large number of patients.
Unfortunately we have not built up a greater expertise about oral appliances, which I hope will happen in the near future.

I wish all countries would follow Denmark and adopt a national health program. You did mention Denmark needs to do more with the oral appliances. This may interest you, take a look at my website http://www.u-sleepwell.com I have been using this pillow for the last three and a half years. This pilow reduces or prevent snoring, and stops an apnea for setting in.

In South Africa it is all down to how much money you have and how good your medical insurance is. So like in the US you choose your own. However nothing so impressive as interdisciplinary clinics. If you have not got lots of money, the best medical insurance or both you are up the creek. I am unaware of there even being facilities in any state run hospitals or clinics. I think that private medical care is probably the only way to go.

That is an impressive pillow system for committed side-sleepers, but it has nothing to do with the topic. Why don't you start a new discussion, "Anti-Snoring Pillow System" and include the link to your website?
There are some medical advantages to the system that you do not mention on your website. I would like to comment on this but do not want to "hijack" the discussion at hand.
Oh, I would vote for Upper Muldovia having the best OSA care.

< Why would someone post that nonsesnse on this forum. Your pillow may indeed stop snoring but it is not an approved device for sleep apnea and your claims border on being illegal!! You have a lot of nerve hyping that pillow on a sleep apnea forum.
