Prior to getting my diagnosis of sleep apnea and getting it under control, I didn't dream much.  This is probably pretty typical since we don't receive much REM sleep (is that the stage where you are dreaming?).

After starting therapy, I started dreaming again.  For the most part, my dreams were not very vivid or what I would deem unusual.  But the last few months I have been having some really weird dreams.  I don't have them nightly, but at least 3 or 4 times a week.  I remember the dreams when I awake, and usually find that I feel fatigued that day.  Can the vivid dreams contribute to the fatigue?  My numbers are still looking okay according to my data so I can't blame apneas for the fatigue.

Any ideas?

very interesting
What kind of dreams were they? Were they just wierd off the wall dreams? Were you threatened in these dreams? I have read many studies. Some say that we are more likely to remember NREM dreams with arousals, and others say the same thing about REM dreams. I have formulated my theory on dreams. My theories follow along with the defragging theory that we talk about so much. I also believe that while we are sleeping that are brain does it's own system diagnostic check on systems of the body. If the brain finds anything threatoning in that check it is possible that those feelings could be portrayed through our dreams. Remember this is my own theory. I have no scientific evidence to support it.
Okay I will describe last night's dream.

I teach school and our district built a new school (not really happening). The school was huge and had many, many hallways with twist and turns. The rooms were not marked in any manner. Every time I left my room, I had trouble finding my way back to my room. Once, I made detour and ended up outside. The area surrounding the school was immense, with a housekeeping section at one far corner, where I ended up at. When I turned the corner to try to find my way back to the school was a carnival. It had all the trappings of a theme park or a carnival like at a state fair. But the workers were dressed like clowns -- evil clowns. The chased me and I ran to the front of the school and had to navigate down slopes, rock features, etc to get to the bottom. This was several stories down. I got to the bottom, by this time I had several children following me. We got to my car and the clowns started chasing us and trying to run us off the road. They ran us into a dead end and I woke up.

Another dream this past week was that we lost our house in foreclosure (it is paid off and we owe nothing on it, except our yearly tax bill which isn't a problem). We ended up having to stay in a friend's car repair shop and running a flea market out of it. People would come in and everything was for sale -- including our personal possessions. I kept sneaking back to our house and finally got up the nerve to break in. When I got in, the house had taken on a life of itself.

The dreams pretty much follow along these lines.
Wow Carol! Those are some interesting dreams. I could see how those could have made your sleep restless as jnk said.
