The untold effects from delayed treatment of obstructive sleep apnea, By Ed Nadolny,CCP

My brother has been involved in the care of cardiovascular patients for the past twenty five years first as a respiratory therapist and currently as a cardiovascular perfusionist in open heart surgical procedures. He has been kind enough to be a Guest Author on http://cpapcritic.com . Come see what he has to say about early detection of OSA! This is GOOD information that he is sharing with us, and I would love for the conversation to carry over to this forum!

that was a great piece. Early detection and proper education are both key.

jnk, To add to what you said I get people all the time that ask me when I am out if I think they need a sleep study. My first question is always "do you snore?" If they say yes I start giving them the names of local labs and doctors. I believe snoring to be the first sign. if a child snores they take their tonsils and adnoids out. At least with my daughter they did. No hesitation at all. I don't see why they would not take steps to cure snoring in an adult.
