     Because I worry about this very point and usually use a nasal pillow mask (as well as a nasal mask), I now have a full-face mask on reserve for a future stuffy nose and/or bad cold night. Not ideal, of course, but I am aware of someone on a different forum who had a bad cold, decided to forgo CPAP -- and was found dead in bed the next morning. She left two children.

     Sleep apnea is very, very serious. I don't play around. I want to be prepared for any and all future possibility.
