MRCA & infectious diseases

I am looking for advice regarding CPAP and infectious disease.  A couple weeks ago I came down with a Staph infection, or MRCA, in my nostril.  I have not used my CPAP machine since then as I have been waiting for the infection to clear up.  I am concerned that the CPAP may have been the source of infection.  If this is the case, I am concerned about going back to using the CPAP in fear of being re-infected.  Is anyone knowledgable about MRCA and whether it can be transmitted through the tubing…See More

SoClean CPAP Sanitizing Machine

Has anyone tried this machine?  If it does what it say -- fully sanitize the mask, headgear and tank -- it sounds like a real benefit and likely worth the cost.https://betterrestsolutions.com/SC1100-SoClean-CPAP-Sanitizing-Unit_p_17.htmlSee More

Lee, I'm so sorry.  I know your blog is not spam.  I appreciate it very much.  Someone had posted under your entry- an ad, but it's gone now.  I wasn't clear anyway.  I deleted the comment.  I am so sorry.

Lee,

as a fellow member of the forum and on behalf of the
SleepGuide Crew I would like to welcome you to SleepGuide.

We come from all over the world and range from the yet to
be diagnosed and newbie, to those who have been on the machine for many years,
people concerned about a friend or relative, family members, and SleepProfessionals.

There is a wealth of information- videos and articles,
discussions, and the FAQ reached from the main page. We are all about sleep
apnea and it's treatment, whether surgery, dental devices, CPAP, AUTO, Bilevel,
and ASV machines, Provent, and the new electrical implant under study.

The "What's on Your Mind?" feature is for a
quick rant or comment. Please start a new discussion if you desire feedback.

We are here to navigate the world of Sleep Disordered
Breathing and anything associated- doctors, DME's, sleep centers, home sleep
testing, and anything associated. You never know when your comments will help
someone else. We discuss problems and solutions and share troubles and success
stories.

SleepGuide was founded by Mike Goldman, a Sleep Health

Advocate and Blogger. For more information about the site
start with "About Us" reached from the main page.

Again, welcome, and thanks for sharing the link for your blog.

Mary Z.
