I think it depends on the person Mike. What is this ENT's definition of "cured". I have seen people lose weight and get off of CPAP. I have seen others lose weight, go through all of the surgeries and still have the same AHI. These types of treatment have been talked about for some time now. I would not call these ideas revolutionary.
Did this ENT tell you about how weight loss is generally more effective than surgery? By itself the results are almost the same as the 2 together at lowering AHI.
Like Rock I think it depends on individuals AND a very good ENT.
As you know I am "currently" cured of my sleep apnea and at the beginning of the next month I am sceduled to my annual sleep test.
For me cured means AHI = 0.
