Doesn't the article say that he got a sleep study the week before he died? Isn't that taking his health seriously?
Rock Hinkle said:The point is that he chose NOT to do what was needed to improve his health. Had he chosen treatment he would probably still be alive. It is sad to see anyone go no matter what the age. My heart goes out to his family.
Great education on the need for PAP therapy Rooster. I will use this and many of your articles to help keep my people on PAP.
Most find the mask uncomfortable at first. Most resolve to lose weight. The article says, and I quote: "related to sleep apnea, for which he was being treated." The specifics of that "treatment" are not given.
Few people have machines, or follow-up appointments, within ONE WEEK of their titration study, do they? The fact that he had the study tells me he was pursuing something. Right?
Perhaps more information will come out. Newspapers are not known for getting the facts right on such things in the earliest reports. The information seems confusingly contradictory at this point. At least for me. But hey, I'm easily confused.

Yet another opportunistic, self-serving ad masquerading as an "article" from the "I Hate CPAP" dudes.
I hate IHateCPAPdotcom. They don't sufficiently stress the importance of giving CPAP the full shot before moving on to second-best approaches. But hey, that's just me.
By the way, when they say "listed" as the cause, they apparently mean listed in that one article above that quoted a relative quoting a doctor.
Do we know yet what was listed officially as cause of death on the certificate?
