Walt raised this idea on a thread about CPAP Vanity/Sex Appeal (or lack thereof)

I"ve brought up the idea of a calender in the lines of "cpap is sexy" and have pt's actually pose (clothed and in good taste) in their beds with their cpap devices and the proceeds going to charity...So far, none of the major players of cpap have opted to sign on.

This is my response (below).  What does everyone think?

I like the idea of a CPAP is sexy calendar. you've run it by ResMed and Respironics and they're not into it? maybe we can design our own CPAP is sexy calendar. Everyone start by uploading a photo of themselves to the Photos section of this site -- rules are like you said: "(clothed and in good taste) in their beds with their cpap devices" -- then we can all vote on which ones make the cut, and SleepGuide can fund the costs of printing? the key would be getting people to upload appropriate photos. think we should try it?

I guess we should wear our most attractive mask rather than the one that works best?
I'm afraid a picture of me in my mask would scare anone aaway from CPAP. LOL. If I can get my roommate to take a picture I'll send it in and won't get my feelings hurt if you don't use it.

Count thesleepwhisperer.net in on this one Rock!
You mean my old ratty comfortable nightie that is frayed and stained won't work? Geez you take all the fun out of it Mike!!!

LOL!!!! LOL!!!

Maybe have your bed moved to a wonderful "vacation" spot such as the beach, high on a mountain top, or overlooking some romantic spot, all decked out -- yep, I can see it now.
You know instead of simple pics of people with their masks on -- why not have some of those talented artist draw, paint, create some of the pics?
j n k, in the context of wearing CPAP mask and having the machine nearby, probably not much. Maybe trying to look all comfortable and managing a smile, if possible around the mask. Tucked cozily into the blankets, with those nice hose covers, and maybe the strap covers. Cuddled with your mate who is stroking your hair and smiling at your willingness to live to raise your children? You just look like a sexy guy, anyway. Maybe sort of a striptease as we don our mask. Or lovingly wash it in the morning.
sleepycarol, you've got a good idea, Rock's kids could draw the pictures, instead of sexy we could have our kids impressions of us with our masks. We do have a few other artists, very talented on the forum (sorry, don't remember who, but you posted some very nice drawings), perhaps they would be willing to do some painting. FitLife has a rather nice photo of a woman in that mask which has room for a smile to show. She looks, if not sexy, very content. Respironics would probably be happy to let us use their picture.
Hey, maybe even just photos of us with our equipment. Though, I'm not sexy sigh, there are plenty of us who are. Rock as a statue comes to mind.

lol...well quite honestly...if you find the Darth Vader sounding, air craft pilot look sexy..then go for it. I myself don't ha ha ( I kid because I have to wear one of these crazy contraptions)
This is...uh...how to say...I'm not the target market for this.
Why not, sounds like a great idea.
I am really flattered that you picked up on the "Sexy" terminology but, hey, there are a lot of people who are just too sexy for CPAP. (LOL)
