Recently, I commented on how difficult it is to find anything using the Search Tool here.

And indeed, I can not even find the current threads any more.

Can I get some assistance with this?

Thanks!

At the top of the page are two links that should work for you.  The one that says "main" and the one that says "discussions".

« Thanks Mary! »

I, too can't find a particular thread and the topic is not listed in Search Tools.

I received several emails advising of replies to Patrick’s question: "What has happened to this site?" but when I clicked the links in the emails I kept getting the message: “this page not found”.

How can I read the discussion thread?

Thank you,

Renee

The search engine has never been all that great. Going through every discussion trying to find the needle is horrible.

I   think the thread may have been closed out.

Hello Mary ~

Thanks for your reply . . . why would a recent thread have been closed out?

I think the person who started the discussion has the option of going back and deleting the discussion. In fact I just checked on my last discussion- I can close or delete the discussion, so Patrick may have gotten tired of the thread. As to Patrick's thread- I'll admit I was way off base on that one- I shot the messenger.

Admin deletes stuff-- however, the criteria for deletions appear to be somewhat arbitrary.

I think he's torn between allowing mollete (with her potentially unlimited KB) to exist, but who posts irregeularly and the consequences of letting that happen (which would include driving away people like Vella, who, although does nothing except piss and moan about his depression, woe is me, etc., does, in fact, post).

And that 99.

I mean, seriously, does anybody understand him?

Anyway, it's the "Anything Is Better Than Nothing" philosophy.

Seriously, I understand 99.
Maybe Molette needs to get her 'potentially unlimited Knowledge Base' updated as it looks like it is not unlimited lol.

Hello Mollete ~

Good to hear from you - always glad to see your posts . . .

Best and good rest,

Renee
