Why is it important that the tech is aware of any medications that the patient maybe using?
Who should be involved in a successful cpap educational program?
the patient
the team
the doctor
and any other treating doctor who may have an interest
also family
First and foremost for pt safety. Alos it is important that a tech know the medications to be able to document their effects on the sleep cycle.

Sleep doc backed by a sleep team that includes an RPSGT, A knowlegable DME that staffs a RRT, A good PCP, and the pt of course. There are many others that could be included depending on the severity of the pt's problems. ie cardiologist, pulmonologist, or a neurologist.
