My sales rep brought me a sample of the new ResMed Mirage FX nasal mask. They claim a 90% fit rate. As a nasal pillow user I was curious to see if a standard nasal mask would be just as good. I have worn it for 2 nights now and I love it! It seals easily and the way they designed the expiratory ports is great. More diffused and quiet. I sent out a demo of the Mirage FX for her on one of my other female nasal pillow users and she has called back this morning to say she too loves it. I think ResMed hit another home run here!!

It's a great mask, best yet, provided I have a good chinstrap. Only problem I still have is back-strap riding up back of my head. Going to try gluing or sewing a  piece of velcro on the inside of the strap to grip my hair.
I have used the mirage fx for the past 3 nights.  I have to be honest when i first put it on it is really comfortable but the results for me are in the quality of sleep.  I couldn't get through a night without having some sort of problem.  I like the way there is such a minimal frame.  I like how they have designed it in a way so there are no real pressure points.  I like how it is so easy to put together and take a part.  The problem I have is the headgear.  It is so long that when i lay on my back it scrunches up so that there is a gap on the top.  Then you find yourself tightening down to make it work.  If i had a long head it would probably be perfect.  :)  I think in general people will have a lot of problems with this mask.  Another example, sometimes you get an itch on your nose as you fall asleep.  I tried to lift the mask up to scratch my nose and the whole mask crumbled apart..  Again with the headgear, there are no clips so any adjustments made and the headgear falls right off the mask.  In summary, I think some people will love it but I don't think it will fit 90% as resmed claims.  However, if you want to buy it we will be selling it starting April 25th.  http://1800cpap.com
