I would assume that introducing a new product may be a bit like releasing a movie--you try to time your release for when the other guy isn't releasing his so the other guy doesn't steal your thunder.
In my eyes it is Respironics that is still playing catch up. If Respironics does not put out an end user software program for the PR1 system before the S9 comes out they may be in trouble. It is just my opinion, but the autoset II is still the machine to beat. Most ASV units are Bipap capable already. I would think that they would be better off mastering the technology of the existing units before moving on to something else that may or may not be even more confusing than what is already out. That would not bring in as big of a profit though.
