We're doing great. Being a dad is the best thing I've ever done, and Eliza is doing beautifully. Only downside is that now I'm back to my pre-CPAP days of being accustomed to a perpetual sleep-deprived state. I've started to drink a lot of coffee. Didn't really touch the stuff until she was born.

Hang in there with the sleep deprivation, it WILL get better and things will be easier on the sleep front. New babies are sooooo hard on your sleep. They do eventually start sleeping through the night. I think they are about 18 years old... :>D just kidding! bee

LOL ! Mike, in about 12 years you'll be talking about the fact that you can't get her out of bed--she'll be sleeping all night and half the day if she can get away with it!!!! (Jeez, how much comfort IS that when you're sleep-deprived and only have to wait 12 more years for relief??!!!!) Nah, she'll sleep LONG before that--one of these days you guys will wake up in the a.m. and realize she hasn't made a peep all night long. When that happened with my kids, I panicked and ran into their rooms to see if they were still breathing. They slept through the night after doing it one time. Keep the faith--she'll come around!!

Once you have kids Mike, your sleep will never be the same.
Now it is feedings and diaper changes. Next it will be bugs of one sort or another that will make them feel icky and sick. Then they will hit the teen years -- you have a beautiful daughter and so you will need a large stick to beat the boys back from your front door and the many sleepless nights dating causes. Then will come marriage and grandkids.
LOL -- Mike enjoy the wonders of parenthood. We would do it all over in heartbeat!!

Hey I still don't know how to navigate around the forum very well, but how did the conversation about the precious baby get on the getting rid of that weird person post? lol

Some of us may have ADHD and that makes it hard for us to focus on one thing at a time. LOL
I know I never thought about having ADHD until I started counseling a few years ago and the psych doctor kept watching me as we were talking. He asked if anyone in my family had an ADHD diagnosis and I said yep, my son was diagnosed at 3 years old and I am sure my brother has it (many of the same characteristics as my son). He asked if I had been diagnosed with it and I said no. He scratched his chin thoughtfully and started asking a bunch of questions and marking my answers and next thing I know he told me -- well you were just diagnosed. LOL!!!!!!
Sooooo blame it on that!!
Actually at times we have a tendancy to "hijack" threads. That is what happened here. We started out discussing the problem poster and then veered off subject and the "new" topic took off.

I agree, Mary. No one seemed all that interested in the original thread anyway. Just keep doin' what you do best which is being YOU!!! Besides who doesn't love seeing these new little lives??!!!!! Gives me hope.....
