Thanks, so much, guys. No worries about the thread being "hijacked." Conversation, like life, is rarely linear. About the baby, yes, I'm enjoying every day of taking care of my little baby girl, sleep deprivation notwithstanding.
Oh, m'goshes!!!! She's grown so much already!!! Next thing you know you'll be pulling your hair out worrying about her passing Driver's Training and wanting her Driver's License. We are going thru that right now w/our oldest granddaughter! (Why parents - and grandparents - get grey hair!!!)

Her dad insists she has to come up w/the money to buy a car herself - and he will pay her insurance - UNTIL - she gets her first ticket.

The hardest part for her is living out in the sticks there aren't many job opportunities w/in walking or biking distance to earn the money to buy a car.
I remember how my friends and I drove as teenagers. Yikes. I don't ever want her to drive!

Welllll, maybeeeeee, if you raise her in the midst of NYC or Boston, etc., she wouldn't ever NEED to learn how to drive and could always rely on public transportation.
kidding. of course it's important for her to learn. i just will be nervous about it.

Thanks Milke. Congratulations on being a Dad. Enjoy every moment of it because they grow up so fast.
